On 5 June 2026, in celebration of World Environment Day, Maha Hills marked the beginning of The Banyan Journey — a long-term commitment to environmental preservation and community collaboration. Set amidst the natural surroundings near Canging Waterfall in North Bali, the initiative brought together guests, local communities, students, environmental groups, and the Maha Hills team for a meaningful tree-planting experience dedicated to restoring and protecting green spaces for future generations. Inspired by the banyan tree, a symbol of strength, longevity, and connection, The Banyan Journey reflects Maha Hills’ belief that every journey should leave a positive impact on the places we visit.

The event welcomed participation from students of SMK Negeri 2 Singaraja, members of STC, MAPALA (Mahasiswa Pecinta Alam), invited guests, and the Maha Hills team. Together, participants planted trees and shared a collective commitment to nurturing the natural environment that supports local communities and biodiversity.

More than an environmental activity, the gathering served as a reminder of the importance of collaboration in creating sustainable change. By bringing together individuals from different backgrounds with a shared purpose, The Banyan Journey became a symbol of what can be achieved when hospitality, education, community, and environmental stewardship work hand in hand. As the newly planted trees take root and grow, they will stand as living reminders of a shared promise made on World Environment Day — a promise to care for nature, preserve green spaces, and contribute to a healthier future. This marks only the beginning of The Banyan Journey. Through ongoing tree-planting initiatives, community partnerships, and guest participation programs, Maha Hills remains committed to building a lasting environmental legacy for generations to come. Because every tree planted today becomes part of tomorrow’s forest.
The Banyan Journey has only just begun. As we continue growing this initiative year after year, we warmly invite our guests, partners, and community to become part of the journey. Join us at our next tree-planting event and help us create a greener, more sustainable future—one tree at a time.

We look forward to planting with you next year.
